ABOUT JULIE

The Julie Dunn Gallery, INC. features Julie's own Black and White Architectural Photography from taken around the globe sold here online and though various locations showcasing her work.  The gallery also represents many talented artists from all different forms of medium.

Julie, an 8th generation Charlottean, however, was residing in Atlanta over the past 12 years and spending much of her time in New York City as well.  Her work with the United Nations and her client base in NYC has created a national and international base of clients.

The founder and the drive behind the gallery is Julie Dunn.  In addition to her work with the gallery and creating her own art she works to make the world a better place.  A portion of all art sold will be donated to various charities and non profit organizations.

Julie is committed to making a difference to our worlds children living in poverty.  Serving a second term as Vice President of SASEF a global non profit organization, Julie chaired a fundraiser to build schools in Africa, created a memorial fund dedicated to helping children through the arts and most recently she has helped to launch SASEF's youth serving pilot project in Brazil entitled "Transforming My Dreams to Reality" in September 2007.

In collaboration to MTV Brazil / Vit Music, she has been actively involved in helping SASEF create its first youth motivational video which debuted at this Brazilian conference.  A documentary is in development by MTV Brazil / Vit Music of the "Transforming Dreams to Reality" conference to be played on MTV.  Julie's photography from the conference is included in this documentary.

Because of Julie's work as a philanthropist she is invited to such gatherings as the World Conference on the Development of Cities held in South America and The Leon H. Sullivan Summit VIII in Arusha, Tanzania to help develop Africa

This summer of 2008, Julie will be introducing Global Philanthropy to the LEAP program in Charlotte, NC.  These middle school students will be attending a business enrichment summer camp and Julie as VP of SASEF will teach them about Global Youth Service Day and have them implement their own community project.  Julie will also touch on global poverty and introduce The ONE Campaign.

SASEF's current and past partners in the fight against poverty include: UNESCO, The United Nations Millennium Development Goals, ONE CAMPAIGN, CARE, Clinton Global Initiative and Junior Achievement.
